You can upload files up to 50 MB per file. The output size depends on your chosen target preset or custom value, up to a maximum of 10 MB.
Yes, once the page has loaded. Scanning and compression both work offline. OpenCV.js (used for edge detection) is fetched once and cached by your browser for future sessions.
BharatDocSeva is pre-tuned for EPFO, NPS, Passport Seva, GST, SSC, UPSC, state PSC portals, and most Indian job portals that enforce a strict PDF file-size limit on uploads.
Yes. Select or drag-and-drop multiple PDF files in one go. Each file is compressed independently with its own progress bar, and you can download them individually when done.
No. BharatDocSeva renders each page at high DPI and automatically switches to lossless PNG encoding for text-heavy pages, so readability is preserved even at aggressive file-size targets.
BharatDocSeva detects password-protected files immediately and shows a clear error message. Encrypted PDFs cannot be processed. Please unlock your PDF first using a PDF reader, then compress it here.
